Planetarium Münster

The project in brief.

Client:
LWL Bau- u. Liegenschaftsbetrieb
Location:
Muenster
Realization:
04/2021 – 04/2022
Construction task:
Reconstruction

The planetarium in the LWL Museum of Natural History in Münster, one of the most modern of its kind, reopens its doors after a year and a half of renovation. It has been completely renewed technically and structurally, and when the lights go out in the large planetarium, an almost perfect illusion of the starry night sky is created.

In addition to the inner dome with the ventilation system behind it, the sound insulation, the lighting and sound system and the star projector, the complete floor structure and seating were also renewed.

The rising floor construction PODIUM, which was adapted circularly to the premises, provides the basis for a safe connection of the freely tilting and rotating chairs. An optimal view, both into the starry sky and onto the new podium stage, is thus guaranteed for every visitor.

We are pleased that we were able to contribute with our work to the fact that in the future star-loving families, children and adults, people with and without disabilities can once again immerse themselves in the universe and that a visit to the planetarium will be an unforgettable experience.

"With the company goracon we always had a competent and reliable partner at our side. Both the products and the specialist staff convinced us from planning to installation. Due to the solution-oriented actions of the construction management, the project was carried out to our complete satisfaction. Goracon is clearly a specialist in its field."
