The FFT Düsseldorf (Forum Freies Theater) is an international production house for free performing arts with narrative theater, performances, interactive productions up to dance theater. The renovation project made it possible to create a new venue in the 2nd floor lecture hall in the former KAP-1 main post office at Düsseldorf's main train station.

The extremely high floors due to the former post office made it possible to equip the lecture hall with the rising floor construction podium. In the future, all visitors in the approximately 240 seats will have an optimal view of the stage.

Based on detailed preliminary planning, the construction was prefabricated in the factory and provided with openings and cutouts. For structural reasons, the connection was made directly on the unfinished floor, so that the screed was left out. The system was soundproofed, pressure-tight and equipped with a special step lighting system. In addition, the complete grandstand construction was covered with a linoleum floor covering.
