Historic furniture, modern technology, and millimeter-precise planning – where monument protection meets state-of-the-art council technology.

Renovation of a council chamber – our specialty

The Mainz City Hall, a symbol of democratic values, is an important example of post-war modernism and has been a listed building since 2006. In the current renovation of the council chamber, combining monument protection with modern technology presents a particular challenge.

We are pleased to take on this challenge. Our many years of expertise, especially in the refurbishment of plenary halls, are particularly valuable in this project. In close coordination with our client and the other trades, we are responsible for the installation of the raised floor construction using the PODIUM system.

Thanks to its precise planning and high degree of prefabrication, the system components are ideally suited for curved and rounded geometries. From a structural perspective, it also provides the perfect foundation for a sound-decoupled integration of the existing table systems.

Both the existing table elements and the seating shells in the council and lecture hall must be restored and refurbished in accordance with heritage protection requirements. This requires not only specialist expertise in furniture restoration but also careful logistics and installation planning.

Together with our qualified partner companies, we look forward to the execution and realization of this demanding project. An exciting undertaking – and another plenary hall added to our list of references.
