The project in brief.
Measures to upgrade the equipment in the plenary chamber
The NRW (Nordrhein-Westfalen) State Parliament Building in Düsseldorf was extensively renovated and modernized after intensive use in order to meet the technical requirements of today's times. This also affected the plenary chamber, where the technical equipment for the furnishings was replaced as part of the renewal of the media technology.
At the beginning of the renovation work, our competent specialist staff carried out the dismantling. Chairs, tables, and the affected floor areas were carefully dismantled, packaged, and professionally stored before the chair guide rails (GSF) could be replaced.
The new, silent, and low-maintenance chair guide rail impresses with its flush floor installation with two narrow guide slots (no tripping hazard), magnetic inspection covers (easy maintenance), quick disassembly and assembly (barrier-free conversion), a high level of safety (unobstructed escape routes), obstacle-free floor cleaning, high ergonomic seating comfort, and a tidy room appearance thanks to automatically returning chairs.
In order to restore the original condition at the end, the floor areas in the plenary chamber were closed, adjustments were made to the floor covering, and the stored furnishings were reassembled step by step.
Thanks to this sustainable and resource-conserving renovation measure, the plenary chamber now meets the latest technical requirements – and goracon OBJECT was able to make a significant contribution to this.
